PUFF PASTRY PIZZA BITES
Ingredients:
- 1 roll Puff Pastry
- ½ C Tomato passata (Pizza base sauce)
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ Tbsp Olive Oil, extra virgin
- ⅛ tsp dried Oregano, optional
- 1 C First Choice Grated Cheese Mix
- Salami or pepperoni (optional)
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Unroll the cold puff pastry sheet on the lined baking sheet and cut out the Christmas trees using a cookie cutter.
3. Remove the excess puff pastry and spread the trees on the baking sheet.
4. In a bowl, add the plain tomato passata sauce, then add salt, olive oil and oregano (optional). Mix well and set aside. Adjust seasonings to taste.
5. Spread the tomato sauce with a spoon on each tree and sprinkle with cheese. Top with salami or pepperoni (optional)
6. Bake in the preheated oven, in the lower rack, for about 15 minutes.
